Diary entrys

28th february 2013
Today we just continued with planning out our storyboards as a guide line for when we go out and film the music video. My group have just finished the storyboared and now have to take pictures for the storyboard.

1st march 2013
Today we sat and listen to Adam go on about what we have to do before we are allowed to go out and film the music video

Proposal & Treatment

Song: Inhaler

Artest: foals

My target audience for this music video will be teenagers. My secondary audience will be young adults. This video will be to the song Inhale by Fouls English indie rock band from Oxford, England. Thy lyrics. The genre of the song is rock, it is upbeat and fun. My target audience can relate to the lyrics, as well as the lyrics fitting the music video with lyrics such as "Sticks and stones don’t break my bones, you make believe it’s lock and load, it’s a dead end road to you and me"

The video type will be mainly consept based but towards the end will have som story (subtle bits of story mixed in with the random consept) based on a teenagers life. I want to show the bad side of nights out when being a teenager. I want it to mainly focus on the consept untill close to the end of the song when the video will make sence with the story.

Guide lines and considerations

1) It is a consept based music video
2) There is only story towards the end of the video
3) It is purely based on random consept as it goes with the song
4) It is suppost to look like a very cheep video to keep it to the 'student' created it feel
5) Extra's will be used depending on whether they want to be in the video at home/ collage
6) Only on the story shots will lighting be critical, but only natural lighting
7) When editing, some filters will be used for example; sepia and black & white
Here are a few examples of ideas im trying to get accross

When creating my music video what i propose to do is to find possible locations on where the video could possible be filmed. I also intend to allocate certain jobs to the members of my group so that the work is distributed equally and we all get a chance to film and edit the video. Before going out and filming the video i intend on doing the necessary paperwork which going with is e.g if a person is used during the filming of the video, model release forms will have to be filled into ensure the persons safety. As well as that, risk assessment forms and recce's will also have to be filled in to ensure that the environment we will be working in is safe too.
